On September 15th, Vice President of ADBC Mr. Zhang Wencai attended the "Boao Forum for Asia Economist Roundtable 2021" and discussed and exchanged views on the theme of "Global Economic Outlook 2022: Certainties and Uncertainties". Mr. Zhang analyzed the influencing factors of economic growth in Asia and the world from the perspectives of the COVID-19 epidemic situation, the trend of Sino-US relations, the macroeconomic policy spillover effects of major economies, geopolitical risks, climate change risks, and the widening income gap. He also shared the experience of ADBC in promoting poverty reduction and inclusive growth, stressed strengthening international exchanges and cooperation, advancing the reform of the global governance structure, providing more public goods, supporting liberalization and facilitation of the trade and investment, and promoting green and sustainable recovery. There were 15 experts and scholars from international organizations, diplomatic envoys in China, government departments, academic institutions, financial institutions and enterprises participated in the roundtable. Participants held in-depth discussions on the driving forces and risks of economic growth in Asia and the world, the key and challenges of reshaping international economic and trade rules, and put forward suggestions on the topics of the 2022 annual conference.
