Executive Vice President Zhang Wencai attended the virtual side event of IFAD’s 45th Governing Council on 15 February and delivered an address on the topic of “mobilizing social capital in financing climate adaptation for smallholder agriculture”. Mr. Zhang introduced China’s experience from perspectives of policy support, technology application and risk mitigation, and shared how ADBC promoted the cause through providing a variety of services including fast-credit to small and micro enterprises and supply chain finance.

Representatives from ADBC, Governments of the Netherlands and Canada, Green Climate Fund and other institutions joined as panelists. Senior staff from Institute of Rural Finance and Development and International Department of ADBC headquarters attended the event.
